Dr. Kavita Gupta, DO
Dr. Kavita Gupta is board certified in pain management and in physical medicine and rehabilitation. After graduating from medical school, Dr. Gupta completed her post-graduate training as chief resident in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Temple University and completed a fellowship in pain medicine at Penn State – Hershey Medical Center. She provides her expertise outside of her practice to several medical and pharmaceutical companies, NJ Medical Board as an expert specialist, and is teaching faculty with the Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine.
Previously, Dr. Gupta is an assistant clinical professor and was previously section head of the Interventional Pain Program at UMDNJ Stratford. She has contributed to the publication of several articles and participates in clinical research within the field of pain management. Dr. Gupta lectures nationwide and has a special interest in community education programs on the latest treatments to alleviate pain.
She is an active member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the American Academy of Pain Medicine, the American Medical Association, and the American Osteopathic Association.
Dr. Gupta specializes in advanced interventional pain management for a variety of pain syndromes. She utilizes a variety of injection techniques to assist in controlling the pain and leading the patient to a quicker return to a normal lifestyle. Her special interests include spine care, sports injuries, neuropathic pain, musculoskeletal medicine, and incorporating holistic treatments such as yoga, pilates, vitamin therapy, homeopathy, medical marijuana, acupuncture, and Ayurveda. When she is not seeing patients, she enjoys time traveling with her triplets and husband.
