Samuel Wood, DO
Dr. Samuel Wood is board-certified in Emergency Medicine and Pain Management. He is a graduate of the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. Upon graduating, he completed his training in Emergency Medicine as chief resident at Reading Hospital; as well as a Fellowship in Pain Medicine at the University of Minnesota.
Dr. Wood is an active member of the American Academy of Pain Medicine, the Spine Intervention Society, and the American College of Emergency Physicians. He has provided multiple lectures and grand rounds on topics ranging from pain signaling pathways, interventional techniques, and chronic pain syndromes, and has authored book chapters on the importance of pain in acute care settings.
Employing a multidisciplinary approach to pain, Dr. Wood utilizes injections, medication management, and osteopathic manipulation treatments (OMT) to help patients control symptoms and regain function.
When he is not working hard in the ER or helping his patients find relief from their pain, Dr. Wood enjoys snowboarding, weightlifting, and sailing. He also is a gifted musician with a Bachelor of Music, Music Production, and Engineering from the Berklee College of Music. In addition, he released a full-length solo rock album.
