Yi Zhang, MD
Dr. Zhang is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the Chinese American Neurological Association. In addition to her work as a neurologist at PA Pain & Rehab, Dr. Yi Zhang treats patients at NYU Langone, where she is also a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Neurology department.
Dr. Zhang earned her MD from Henan Medical University in Zhengzhou, China, and an MS in Computer Science from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Her extensive postdoctoral training includes a Vascular Neurology Fellowship at New York-Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center, a Neurology Residency and Internal Medicine Internship at Saint Louis University, and a series of fellowships, research, and instructor positions at renowned institutions such as the University of Cambridge, University of Rochester, Mayo Clinic, and University of Alabama at Birmingham.
During her proficient professional career, Dr. Zhang has received multiple honors, including the Travel Scholarship Award at the 1st Chinese American Neurological Association Conference in 2016. She has also been invited to several talks and teaching of peers and is credited with over 25 academic publications and presentations.
Dr. Zhang is committed to improving the lives of patients with neurological conditions such as traumatic brain injury, stroke, brain aneurysm, and cerebral vasculitis. Dr. Zhang believes in a collaborative approach to patient care, ensuring that patients are well-informed and actively involved in their treatment plans. She strives to provide individualized care to each patient, recognizing their unique needs.
