Today I wanted to talk to you about what happens when you go to the emergency room after a car accident. And what’s the cost of not actually fixing the problem if you were injured in an accident.
I stated in a previous video that when you go to the emergency room, they’re really only concerned that nothing’s broken, they wanna make sure that there’s no muscles, tendons, or ligaments that are torn. So they may take x-rays with you. They may do an MRI to see the discs, to see the soft tissue. Or they may do a cat scan again, to get a better view and make sure nothing is damaged and that nothing needs immediate medical attention.
Assuming you don’t need surgery or something like a cast because something’s broken, they’re gonna send you home. And they’re gonna send you home with pain relievers or an over-the-counter, or they’ll give you a prescription for a muscle relaxer, they may give you an ice pack or a hot pack.
And all these things are designed to help treat your symptoms. So if you’re in a lot of pain as a result of an accident, their intention is to help you feel better. And there’s really nothing wrong with that. You should do that if that’s what you want.

But if you don’t go beyond that and actually fix the problems that occurred because of your car accidents, you’re gonna set yourself up for problems down the road. So the cost of not actually correcting the problem when you have the opportunity sooner rather than later can cost you dearly.
Not only can it cost you time ’cause you’re driving around and trying to correct this problem, you’re going from doctor to doctor which might cost you money. But for sure, it’s gonna cost you freedom.
Freedom for you to be able to do the things that you wanna do or need to do or love to do when you actually want to do them. That’s the cost of not correcting the problem. You know, imagine you’re supposed to be going to work every day, but you feel horrible and you’re not able to move and perform at your job the way you did before the accident is that gonna cost you money?
